Join us on Friday, March 14th at noon PT for our Scholar Series webinar.
In this conversation, Laurene Contreras, Program Administrator for the Yakama Nation Environmental Restoration/Waste Management (ERWM) program, will discuss how the Yakama Nation protects the ancient and living cultural resources of the Hanford Site. Since time immemorial, the lands of the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation extended in all directions along the Cascade Mountain Range to the Columbia River and beyond. The Yakama consider it land given in trust by the Creator and a heritage to be held and protected for unborn generations.
