The Department of Energy is holding a 60-day public comment period on proposed changes to the RCRA Permit to connect three new double shell tank transfer lines to the 242-A Evaporator (which boils tank waste liquids to reduce overall volumes of tank waste) by allowing three new wall penetrations at the facility. The comment period runs May 8 to July 7.

Join us at the agency-led virtual public meeting on June 8 at 5:30pm PST as we learn more about the changes proposed for the 242-A Evaporator facility. This is Hanford Challenge's first time learning about this permit modification, we will send more information as we learn about DOE's plans.
