Britany Kee' ya aa. Eichman-Lindley is Staff Attorney for Hanford Challenge. She started as a Legal Extern for Hanford Challenge during spring 2018 and volunteered ever since, including attending the Alliance for Nuclear Accountability’s D.C. Days.
As Staff Attorney, Britany primarily provides legal representation and assistance to workers at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, focusing on assisting Hanford whistleblowers who have experienced retaliation for raising safety concerns.
Britany earned her B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University and her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. While at SU Law, she served as Managing Editor of the American Indian Law Journal. Her publications include Solution Before Pollution: Mining and International Transboundary Rivers in Southeast Alaska (published by AILJ) and BP Versus Northwest National Parks: What a Refinery Expansion in Whatcom County Means for Views in Cascadia (published by Sightline Institute).
Britany, originally from southeast Alaska, has lived in Washington for nearly eleven years. She represents the Tlingit yéil (raven) moiety, Kaach.ádi (raven-frog) clan, and Shtax'héen Kwáan (Stikine River People). As an Indigenous islander, she is passionate about Indian law and environmental law. In her down time, she enjoys participating and leading in her Tribe's cultural events, getting lost in a good book, cooking and critiquing food, playing volleyball, creating art, and traveling with friends and family.
